Hope, woe, inept defending, the old enemy…it is all writ large on the face of this Polish fan as he watched in anguish as his team went down to the usual German efficiency model 2008 helped of course by some magically inept defending, a debatable offside and the kind of stuff that makes Alan Hansen rock in his armchair. You would think the old Tony Adam Arsenal back line would be a good a model for some these teams but they still seem vulnerable to the old lofted ball over the top as Switzerland discovered and Poland.
