European Soccer Championship 2008 France Group C Patrice EvraFrench players may claim that there are nothing to worry about concerning the future of the French team in the Euro 2008 and their qualification for the quarters finals, the fact remains that a lot of people and not only French supporters were very disappointed by the level of France during this game. French forward team did not manage to worry the defense of Romania which is on paper the weakest team of the group but beyond the result which is not that catastrophic the spectacle proposed by France during the all game was so boring that some changes have to be made if France wants to achieve something in the competition and play more than 3 games.

A lot of journalists have criticized the choice of French coach Raymond Domenech:

Claudio Ranieri still doesn’t understand how it is possible to drop Juventus French key player David Trezeguet, and his 20 goals in Serie A this season.

French journalists claim that such a talented player as Ben Arfa should be part of the French team and would be of a great help to unlock a situation similar to the one France knew yesterday facing a well-organized defensive team.

Italian journalists find it scandalous to drop Philippe Mexès who is considered as one of the best central backs of the Italian league and replace him by Lyon’s Squilacci and Boumsong who are not convincing at all.

English journalists criticized the absence of Arsenal wing backs Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna

It is now the turn of German journalists to criticize the choices of Domenech. In fact, they do not understand why Domenech keeps making Ribéry play on the right wing whereas he has been so impressive on the left wing during all the season.
The French list and line-up have given rise to a huge controversy with everyone having his idea of the best team. The one of yesterday was definitely not the best one.

Let’s do ours:

Mandanda

Sagna Mexès Adidal Evra

Vieira Makelele

Ribéry Nasri Ben Arfa or Benzema

Trezeguet
