Mathieu Flamini and Khalid Boulahrouz on their way to the European Championships
Liverpool’s Dutch hope Ryan Babel will not be part of the Dutch team during the Euro 2008 as a result of an injury which will prevent him from playing for six weeks. He will be replaced by former Chelsea and now FC Sevilla back Khalid Boulahrouz, Marco Van Basten considering that with Van Persie, Van Nistelrooy, Robben, Huntelaar, Vennegoor of Hesselink the Dutch forward team is already pretty strong.
Former Arsenal and now Milan AC defensive midfield Mathieu Flamini who has been dropped from French list has just been recalled by French coach Raymond Domenech as captain Patrick Vieira has broken down in training. The Inter Milan midfielder has not played against Paraguay or against Ecuador and is currently following a different training from the rest of the team as a result of an injury.
Vieira is certain to miss the first game of France against Romania and Flamini’s come back is considered as a cautious decision from Domenech in case French coach has to do without his captain.
