Rosicky ruled out for two months

Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky has ruled himself out of Euro 2008. The talismanic Czech Republic captain will undergo surgery later today after the hamstring he pulled in January has failed to heal. “I am in the lowest point of my career,” said the 27-year-old. “I missed the big part of season at Arsenal and I reached the European Championship for nothing.” He will be out for ‘two months at least’. Czech coach Karel Brückner admitted: “It is big loss for us. He has gone down every avenue for treatment and surgery is his only chance.”
The news could open the door for an emotional return for Juventus legend Pavel Nědvěd who quit international soccer after the 2006 World Cup.
